Hi everyone! 10 weeks ago, I hatched out some eggs that came from a mix of various heritage breeds. There were small white, small blue, small light brown, big light brown, big white, and a few big green eggs. The woman I bought them from listed the breeds she had as Buckeye, Ameraucana, Easter Eggers, Cochin bantams, Salmon favorelle, and other breeds. Any chance you all could help me identify some of my more head scratching 10 week old pullets and cockerels? Some of these could be crosses of crosses so maybe it's impossible to tell, but I am just so curious because some of them are so unique looking!!
#1: Bantam grey rooster with gold around neck. Feather foot, ear tufts, single comb. Born out of a small white egg. I was thinking cochin, but I also thought cochins lay brown eggs
#2: White/dark grey rooster with brown streaks. Clean foot, ear tufts and beard, single comb. He was yellow with a couple black stripes on his back as a chick
#3: Black with gold streaks bantam hen. Ear tufts and beard, clean leg with maybe peacomb. I'm guessing she might be an easter egger
#4: Grey bantam hen with large grey head tuft. Clean leg with probably single comb (hard to tell with tuft)
#5: My biggest rooster. He's gigantic compared to everyone else, grey/splash, single comb, no tufts and clean leg. Looks the most like a classic chicken
#6: Big splash rooster, born out of a big green egg. I'm guessing he's at least partly splash easter egger since he has ear tufts, peacomb and came from green egg. The feather legs are throwing me off though...
#7: Bantam hen. Feather foot, possibly single comb (could be peacomb but too small to tell). She's the most baffling one by far. I would guess some kind of cochin mix but she doesn't look like my other cochins.
#8: Tiny black bantam hen with brown on her breast. She's the smallest pullet I have. She is clean legged, with a tuft on her head and single comb.
#9: All black rooster. He doesn't have much of a tail at all, but he does have ear tufts and beard, feather feet and peacomb. I'm thinking he's at least partly araucana
Thank you all, I am curious to hear what you think!!
