What are the chances?!

I have 2 Wyandottes and 2 Easter eggers that are 16 weeks…what are the chances of them laying anytime soon? I’m in Northeastern Ohio ..Will I get eggs this year? Or will they wait till spring?

Spring. They're still too young for most birds. Most lay around 18-22 weeks.

Well, spring is officially on March 22.
They should start before then, but probably not until after the days start getting longer on Dec. 21

Probably January of February. Even low light in winter rarely stops them in their first year.

I think late January - maybe mid January if we have a lot of sunny weather. That would put them at 24 weeks, and that is a pretty average age to start laying.
