What are the colorings help

I was wondering what the closing gs on my 2 quail are,they are 5 days old .

I think autocorrect mangled your post, but from your title I’d say you want colors on your chicks? The brown one is pharoah or wild type the other is an Italian or fawn. They look pretty small for day 5, are they getting enough protein? They should get a minimum of 20%, though more is better. Mine are getting decent feathers by day 5 on 21% starter and are laying by 5 weeks on 28%. Chick starter isn’t appropriate for quail, try turkey starter, an all flock, or a high protein chicken feed if you can’t find gamebird feed.

Do you know what the parents look like? The first one does look like pharaoh, but their colouring can change a lot as they grow, and several colours look similar as chicks.

From the feathering, they look like they're only about 3 days old. What are you feeding them?

Thankyou for reply,I've realised reading small print it's only 18% protein,so I'm off to get higher protein food for them

Thanks for reply,I realised the chick which I thought was OK,is only 18% protein,I'm now off to get high protein game starter feed ,is that OK,and will they catch up

Thanks for the time of you guys that replied,some pics from 2 weeks old the pics don't do justice on there growth,, they have grown soo much,I managed after going everywhere, to get 29% quail starter feed ,and it's done the trick,so thanks,just be interesting to know sexes,but I know it's too early at the moment

Give us good pics of their chests in another week or two, and we can probably tell you. They're a feather sexable variety. In the pic with two birds, the one on the right is pharaoh, the one on the left looks like it may be falb fee.
