If you have a decent stock of birds (obviously no single combs, have all 5 toes) what are the show disqualifications for Silkies? I'm trying to fine tune my eye better.

Thanks!

over sized comb is a DQ.
Too red is a DQ.
should have a full feathered feet.
no droopy wings.
should have a full crest.
They also look at softness in the tail feathers.
oh yea the white silkie should not have any yellow at all.

Do you have a pic of oversized comb. Curious as to what the difference would be. I don't think I have any, but it would be good to know.

It seems like a lot of the SGs I've been getting from good breeders lately have really pink/red combs.

Oh the middle toe, Should it be ALL feathered or are 2-3 feathers ok?

I dont really know about 2 or 3 feathers, but i know they should be full feathered on there feet.

this is probably not the best pic to see all the feather, my showgirl in this pis was 2 months old and wet.

Yep def. a big comb there!

I have a couple that have 2-3 feathers on that middle toe (2nd toe in from the outside) and some that have that toe completely covered.
