Someone posted on page one about having too-small of a brooder.... That's about to become my problem, too.
Don't do that.
I based the size of mine off a 32"x38" (8.44sqft) brooder box McMurray sells and advertises as having room for 48 chickens 'till four weeks of age..
Being ignorant, but not entirely stupid, I at least had sense enough to realize they were probably overstating capacity and built mine about 50% larger for almost 50% fewer chicks -- 12sqft for 28 -- so that they could be in there with plenty of room until they feathered out....
Yeah, well, I don't think that's going to happen.. I think they're going to start giving me overcrowding trouble before they're actually ready to come out, which means I may have to build another identical brooder and find a spot to shove it in.
