What are the odds this auction is for real?

I dunno, but the auction is on my watch list. I'll be interested to see how high it goes.

Good points!

FourPawz, I'll be watching closely too. The bird pictured in the auction is beautiful!

Looks like they changed the picture with a little "sorry" at the bottom of the page. Maybe they're just not good spellers?

By the time bidding is done, I'm sure they'll receive a good price.

I STILL want to know how they check each egg for fertility before shipping. That's a crock.

With the corrections at the bottom, I wonder if they are on BYC? Or are they just getting a lot of questions about the mistakes? IDK but I agree, if your gut is telling you that this isn't good, I wouldn't bid. If you get good answers to the questions you have sent them, and the price hasn't gone through the roof, why not bid? They say that they will replace any eggs that are broken in shipping which is actually unusual for a seller.

First, let me say, I HATE SHIPPED EGGS. Not because of anything a shipper has done, it is the postal people. Last year I (I) shipped some eggs to my in Pa. and she hatched only 1 out of the 15 eggs I shipped. While I hatched 15 for 15 of the eggs I collected the same day. Next, The only photo I would put on anything I have for sale is of that item. The only exception would be of eggs, for they wouldn't be laid yet. But they would be very close because they would be coming from the same hens only a few days apart. As for spelling, let just say I wasted most of my school years looking at the pretty girls instead of my school books. (I sure did have fun.)

You missed the show in Stockton a few weeks ago. You might have been able to get what you wanted there. The next west coast show is in Fresno, not sure of the date.

Those that know me, know that I will drive half way across the country for eggs, but will NOT have them shipped. DID I SAY THAT I HATE SHIPPED EGGS.

Did you notice that the seller does not want any negitive feed back. Well try to work with the buyer. A good sign. ???????

I alway guaranteed eggs to be received eggs unbroken.......have not had one broken in over 4 years shipping, its all in how well packed. So can't go by that.

I never buy birds from anybody who can't spell the breed's name right. Just my opinion.

I was just commenting that many sellers don't offer to replace eggs that are broken in shipping. I am not saying that it makes them someone you can trust. I am also not saying that all sellers should offer this. I know that it is not the sellers fault if the PO plays soccer with the box.

I thought you'd either have to crack it and check for the bullseye or incubate it to check it? But what do I know?

I contacted the seller last week about "the manuel checking of all eggs"......lets just say I won't be bidding on any of their auctions.
