What are these chickens ?

They are pretty and all the same coloring, so it must have been going on for a while. It seems to me, that a regular barnyard mix would have more variations in it.

Me too. They look like a project breed. Maybe the late husband was working on his own breed.

They are very pretty.

A friend of mine had a buff(orp...rock or something else) hen in with his barred birds. His rooster was also barred and he got a buff hen with brown barring in her chicks along with other birds. So these birds must have some barred gene. Y'all already know that though.

They look like a barn yard mix, but likely all siblings with the same dad, perhaps a sexlink as one of the parents.
