These are birds I rescued from certain death! I love the huge brown eggs they lay! Not sure what breed!

I have them in with my RIR Roo but was wondering if I should use my Lavender Orpington Roo instead?

Black Jersey Giants or Black Australorps. More leaning towards Australorp. Now, move this to 'What Breed or Gender is This?".

"Australorps are often confused with Jersey Giants, and you can tell the difference by their legs. Jersey GiantsÂ’ legs are black, the bottoms of their feet being yellow. AustralorpsÂ’ legs are black, the bottoms being pinkish-white."

    from the BYC breed chart.

    Now, you tell us!

The pullets would be black and the roos would be black with red leakage. At least that is what my BA X Red Cochin looked like.
