Well, as a few of you may know, yesterday I awoke to find Hagrid (my favorite little pullet that was a few weeks old easter egger with the biggest beard I have ever seen) was carried off by something very large, leaving a trail of her sweet little feathers through the back yard into the woods.

This of course sent me into a flurry of construction when i got off work yesterday, doing my best to get the coop FINISHED at least to the point of habitable, could always expand later. I had to go to TCS to get some more staples and such, hanging feeder, and I guess you can tell where this is going...

I ended up with my supplies as well as 6 little chickies (they order from Privett). 2 I believe are black australorps, but the other 4 I have no idea...I will post pics later, but off the tops of your heads, what does Privet carry in a buffish color with gray or blue splashes? The 4 mysteries are peachy buff with splashes of a grayish blue, with 2 of them having very blue splashy heads and the other 2 being a bit more buff and less greyish blue. The feathers coming in are a buffy beige with dark grayish blue splashes, especially closer to the quill thing...

Any ideas?

The weird thing is that although they are almost identical, one has a bit of feather leg, and the other does not out of the two bluer ones. here are pics of them.

Easter Egger? What comb does it have? Whatever it is, that's one remarkable coloring of down and feathers!! Looks kinda like lemon blue or blue buff or something.

I like the bluish colors...

No, Easter Eggers, since they're crossbred chickens, can have any color of legs, often any type of comb, and any color. Of course, hatcheries usually have a "common variety" but some tend to have that common variety has blue-buffs.

TSC or Privetts Customer Support? TSC has great customer support, but I doubt they would be able to help you determine the breed. My tsc uses MT. Healthy, so entire hatcheries used vary between stores. Privett seems ok, I contacted them a few days ago, still awaiting response though.
