Hmm, I have a NHR about the same age and she doesn't have any white or black on her.

I'd take a current pic of her for you, for comparison, but it's raining here today. Maybe I can get a pic of her tomorrow.

These look just like my New Hampshire Reds, they are just beginning to show a bit of black on the end of their tails.

I love how orange they are!
