Just asking whats pullets? Roosters?
Pullets are female chickens less than a year old. An older female chicken is called a hen. (Although some people, in some places, will call a pullet a hen when she's less than a year old but has been laying eggs for a while. Others might say she isn't a hen until her first adult moult, which could be more like 18 months than a year old. Generally people mean a female chicken that's less than a year old, though.)

A cockerel is a male chicken that's less than a year old. An older male chicken is called a cock or a rooster.

Rir cockerels tend to be a bit feisty, as I've heard, lol. I also have a meal maker and a homestead helper on my order, praying for anything but a Rhode Island red since I already have a pullet and don't want an aggressive roo :fl
I'm sorry, but "homestead helper" sounds too much like "hamburger helper". lol

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! But man, was he a cute little thing when they got here! Just look at the poof.😍
Rhode Island red chicks might be the cutest breed. I have one and she is probably the cutest chick ive ever raised.

Is he going to become soup? 🤣
Lol if he doesn't stop biting me he is. I reached down to pull shavings out of their feeder, and he bit me. I said, "boy when you're bigger, you're gonna become soup if you don't stop that!" From there it progressed to me calling him Soup. Even if he straightened out and stuck around, I think he'd forever be called Soup now!
