What are these spots on my rooster?? Help please

Yesterday I noticed these black spots on Ricky’s ears. I’ve only had chickens since August, so I’d like help identifying and treating this properly. Is it fowl pox? Frost bite? Something else?

It could be peck marks. Fowl pox can be a problem when mosquitoes are out in warm weather. They usually cause more scabs. Here is an example of fowl pox.

You should probably also check his ears for mites or gunk just incase he is scratching them earlobes.
