what are these spots underneath my gander’s bill?

I just saw this today while playing with them when he looked up. when I saw the first one dark spot I thought oh no what is that some kind of disease? but then I saw the second one on the other side, so now I think it looks like perhaps it’s from sticking his bill into holes in poultry fencing or something - geese always sticking their noses into everything it seems!! i put ACV with mother in their water. wondering if I should catch him tonight and spray it with Vetricyn and maybe put some antibiotic ointment?
