I have a Genesis Hovabator 1588. I just set it up, and there are little holes in the bottom. Three on each side evenly spaced. Nothing is covering them. And air can flow in and out. Are these supposed to be covered up?
The temperature keeps going up and down. 99.5-100F it has never been at just 100F. Any ideas?

No these do not need to be covered up. I have them too, both in my Brinsea and Chinese incubator. They are as you say air flow holes. Even though you keep your incubator closed and in a relatively stable condition oxygen is one of the most important parts of incubation and embryo development. All is good so try not to worry.
