I wouldn't call them rare. I've seen them around here, which is saying a lot as there aren't a ton of pigeon people in NC. I would say they are uncommon-ish. Shouldn't have a hard time finding more on the web or manybe even locally, but they aren't as popular as homers and rollers.

I'm no Mookee expert, but I'd say your birds look pretty good. The only thing that jumped out at me was the fact that the first (outter) two primary flights are not white like they should be. It's fine for them not to be white in solid colored birds though. Their caps look good. The peak crest could be improved a tad.
