I was told these 3 were blue egg layers the person I purchased them from is a local dealer for Moyers Chicks. He has a huge chicken farm. With that said I was told they are blue./black splash ameracaunas the 2 white ones do have tiny dots of blue/black dots not many. Mostly just white, the other one with the darker feathers has the blue/black splashes throughout it's feathers. They are only about 19 weeks old. I know they are NOT pure breeds I wasn't looking for pure, but I was looking for blue eggs. Can anyone help to see with identity of these sweet flighty birds. I have attached some pics. Please be kind I'm new to raising chickens. I love my babies. Also I have amberlinks.

Do you have other pics? Or the breeders contact info? Cause as much as I could say Easter Egger based on what you wrote, that splash bird doesn't look one bit EE xD I'd love to know what other birds he raised, unless he just breeds for blue eggs, in which case you won't know until they lay (which I guess if they were EE you still wouldn't know until they lay!)

Better photos of each bird would be helpful. Can you get a good side view showing full body, head and legs?😊

I posted all the pictures I have of them at this time. Like I was saying I'm not worried about pure I on some fb sites ppl were saying leghorns but I know enough with all the research I've been doing at the start of even thinking about getting chickens they have the sleek frame of a young LH but they are no way a LH. Like you said I'm torn between a EE mutt/mix or a ameracuna/EE mix the only other thing is the leg color I know ameracaunas have slate colored legs and these are a yellow I did read all white ameracaunas can have a yellow or willow due to I beleive dormant gean but I guess I'll wait and see. The other this is none of the 3 have muffs. Thank you for the input.

These are not Ameraucana, you are correct. I am also doubtful these are EE. Perhaps one the new hatchery hybrids, but looks like these have single combs from what I can tell. I would expect blue egg layer hybrids to have pea combs.

They do not look splash either. Some splash can have very little flecking. These birds look almost like austra whites.😊

I am afraid you will have to wait for eggs to know for sure on a he egg color.
I am not sure on your dusty blue colored bird at all.
For the mostly white birds and here are a few that come to mind.
Austra whites lay a white or cream egg. Ideal 236 is a possibility given the looks. California Whites are another possibility and lay a bright white egg.
I am not sure but worth looking into would be whiting true blues as well as hatchery hybrids like Meyers lakeshore egger.

The reason I suggest other hatcheries is Moyers does not list anything except brown and white layers.

Correcting myself. They do list easter eggers in the ready to lay pullets section.

^ what others have said, I don't think your have Easter Egger or Ameraucana mixes at all, I'm curious to see what they lay! If they don't lay blue or at least colored eggs I'd contact who you got them from, cause that's not fun! Colored eggs are the best :D
