We got two australian spotted ducks last July. In addition we added two pekin ducks in September. Unfortunately our two pekins were killed by predators in November ( enclosure has since been fixed). Our australian spotted female began laying eggs in February and successfully hatched 8 duckling at the end of March. We thought we had two purebred Australian Spotted ducks to being with, but we have 2 solid white ducklings, two white and black spotted ducklings, and then 4 that look like aussie spots. What do you think we have here? First picture is some of t he five week ducklings. Last picture is mom and dad and some ducklings. Thanks for your help.

We got them from a friend who bought his original flock of 9 Aussie Spots from Holderread Farm.

did he keep any other breeds of ducks at the same time as the Aussies?

I had separated one of my drakes with a 36" puppy pen, he climbed right over it. And they can find any weak spot in a fence like it's their job.

I had a surprise hatch out myself, and I keep a single breed.
