Man, this isn't a hate thread.     I've read this over and the Christians on here are acting a little hostile.
Listen, peoples, let's respect each other and discuss books in a reasonable manner; though whether we do or not the Bible will be the most talked about.  Which is understandable considering no other book has influenced the world like the Bible.  No other book has sold more copies, been translated into more languages, yet suffered as much persecution.  A miraculous compilation of 66 different books, written over a period of 1,600 years by over 40 different authors, yet possessing a supernatural unity from Genesis to Revelation. 
"Impossible, if written by many minds, yet possible, if written by One through the hands of many men." (II Peter 1:21)

Anyhow, I'm not a hard-core religious type who reads the Bible, but I do believe in God and do think that the scientific view on things is ridiculous. (Sorry to all of you! I do respect that other people have different opinions though, as you will probably know. If it's any consolation, I love watching The big bang theory, purely because Sheldon is the most hilarious guy to ever hit television. )

(suckish jokes I say ftw) But I couldn't agree with you more about not reading the bible all the time etc. but believing in God.

But anyways any Christians here that are acting hostile to athiests or non religious people are only making themselves look stupid and are only being hypocritical. If Christianity is all about love what's the deal with being hostile to people who don't believe in it? Its their choice.

Also, today, I almost snorted in assembly at the hypocrites doing our sermon for us. (I don't really pay attention)
"Bless ones in power, and government figures ..... in the name of God, the only one with power" or something along those lines.

Sometimes we feel that way. Sometimes, we feel like, if we've sinned, that we can't call ourselves Christians. But God will always be there for you when you're confused, or lost. The first thing to do to get it straightened out, is, talk to him. And since 'relegious topics' are discouraged here, I shall go back to my corner.

And about the highjacking, that's discouraged, too. (Actually, it's against the rules)
