What are you adding to your flock this year?

I'll be double my small backyard flock this summer from 4 to 8 chickens after some minor coop expansions/alterations. I currently have 2 Lavender Orpingtons and 2 New Hampshire Reds. I hope to add 2 Barred Plymouth Rocks and 2 Easter Eggers. However, if those aren't available where I purchase chicks at the same time I'm also considering Olive Eggers, Black Copper Marans, and Speckled Sussex.

Some of my ladies are going on 5 years and I’ve had a couple of deaths,predators and reproductive issues so I want to expand my 8 to 12 I’d like Easter eggers and cuckoo Marans they have been my most consistent layers the marans and I love the green eggs Easter eggers

In April, if/when I have a broody, I’d like to give her 8 - 10 hatching eggs.
Bantam Vorwerk or Dutch in a nice pattern (in Dutch this color is named koekoek).
I already contacted 2 brooders who like to sell eggs by then.

Hopefully I have 2 or 3 female chicks in May.

Sadly we just had most of our flock picked off by owls, so we are doing a predator proof coop redo and are hopefully going to add some Turkens and maybe some Ameraucanas too!

Looks like I'll be adding temporarily 10 backyard mixes. A Phoenix hen went broody and is sitting on ten eggs. She had eight and I gave her two because the Spitzhauben hen decided chicks weren't for her and stopped sitting on her two like two weeks in.

We are hatching EE chicks. We also are hatching Biefehelder x Aracauna cross.
We bought the following:
1. Jungle Fowl
2. Biefehelder
3. Lavender Ameracauna
4. Blue Easter Eggers
5. Dominant Copper

There was a short hatch. So we didn't get the Jungle Fowl.

I ordered some Silver Spangled Hamburgs and a single Yokohama a while back. They should come in April.
