What are you baking now?

I made the simplest treat last night.. If you are looking for something salty and sweet, then this is for you!!

Pics of those rolls would be nice to see.......I am so hungry but with my severe sore throat I can't eat anything that has any roughness to it at all.

Made more Pumpkin Roll today (see page 10 for picture). I made the mistake of giving the neighbors some last time and now they are hinting for more. One bachelor I know said mine was much better than the one he usually buys at Walmart!

Really now. Let's not go there

I made pumpkin bread.

As soon as I opened the can of pumpkin puree (it's cheaper, OK?) my cat Socks started going ga-ga. I figured she just wanted some tuna, because to her all cans = tuna cans and she comes running at the sound of the can opener.

Fast forward, bread is cooled and I cut myself a piece.

Socks the cat who doesn't get on the table even for ham, bacon or pizza, gets on the table while my back is turned and starts chewing on the loaf of pumpkin bread!!!!
I yell of course, and she goes and hides at the top of the cat tree. I cut off that part and feed it to the dog, who is sitting quietly - not jumping on the table being bad.
I wrap the bread up, and later in the evening it gets left on the table but wrapped up this time.

Socks strikes again, this time she chews off the foil and nibbles the other end of the loaf! GAH! This time I cut it off and give it to her in her dish, and again put the rest away - and this time tell DH not to leave it out!

I sent most of it to work with DH for his lunch, apparently we can't keep this stuff in the house! I hid the last two pieces in the (cool) oven.

Not 'baking' right now... waiting for the bread to rise and will bake in the morning. Trying the recipe OccamsTazer suggested from Mother Earth Magazine! So far I've liked all the Mother Earth Recipes I've tried from the mags I get in the mail. I just didn't get this Magazine edition.
