What are you baking now?

Dragonfly that window looks wonderful. There was only one thing wrong with your post. It didn't include the recipie for the peanut brittle!! Hint hint. I would love if you could share it.

I am supposed to be making cranberry bread for gifts for art class tomorrow but can't seem to get my butt out of my recliner

I promise that I will post the recipe tomorrow - just didn't have it here at work. I will also try and communicate all the tips and tricks that my neighbor taught me.

I just spent a while cleaning out my baking cabinet and moving things to my spice cabinet so I can be nice and organized to start my holiday baking/cooking.
I hate when I am in the middle of making something and I realize I didn't pull all the spices out that I needed beforehand and I have to dig through the cabinet.
Now everything is organized with the spices I need the most for the holiday cooking in the front.
I am ready to go!

I have found a way to be both lazy and productive at the same time! I have my laptop in the kitchen and am baking the easiest cookies ever for my son's Christmas party tomorrow. Paula Deen made these on her show but I changed them up a little bit...they are just sugar cookie dough rolls, you cut thiem into thin pieces and she put like a small mint cookie on top but I used something close to a Girl Scout Tag-a-long, then you put another piece of the dough on top. Brush with egg and sprinkle with nuts. So easy! My kind of baking!

Making rum cakes for all the neighbors...seems as if we get snowed in the neighbors are much more willing to plow us out...lol

I am postponing my holiday baking until February...my grandkids will be returning from Germany and will be visiting for a week or so. So basically Christmas in February for us.
