Today I made sugar cookies with chocolate windows, red velvet cupcakes, mushrooms preserved in oil and pickled beetroot. I've been reading through all my big fat organic country cookbooks today while watching Mad Men season II. That show always inspires me to cook, somehow.


Dinner was baked salmon and homemade egg pasta with a basil bechamel sauce. Yum. I was light on the sauce too and use milk instead of cream (okay so not really a bechamel) so it was healthier and tasty still. P:
