I'm just setting up my incubator and ready to hatch. I'm setting Buff Orpingtons . I've always enjoyed keeping them. I'd like to know what others are hatching.

    Good luck with your buffs!

I plan on getting them as chicks but am going to attempt to hatch EE, Plymouth Barred Rock, Cream Legbars, and a few silkie eggs. I'll see what hatches and then add a few chicks to the flock shortly after. Planning to add Buff Orpington, BC Marans, and an Australorp.
First sign of spring amongst the snow in the middle of winter is my incubator :)

I am hatching polish at the moment. My second batch of this year. First hatch I got 13/14 that hatched. They are two weeks old now. The current eggs in the incubator are on day 12. Started with 21 but had 6 clears at first candling so down to 15 now.

I'm currently hatching Black Copper Marans, at least I'm trying to. I'm on day 16 of my very first hatch.

I set a dozen Buff Orps a few days ago. I have 5 Chocolate Cuckoo Orps that are on day 20 and I am just crossing my fingers that they make it. I started with 10, but 5 were either infertile or too damaged by USPS to grow.

I also have Sulmtalers, Cream Legbars, Jubilee Orps, Red Cuckoo Orps, Lav Orps, Lav Ameraucanas, and Dark Cornish set that are at day 10. Candled at day 7 and had to cull a handful, but most seem to be doing well. [IMG] All are shipped eggs which is always a crap shoot. Will candle again at day 14 and see where things stand. Good luck to the rest of you.
