Basically, it's about a story Lacey heard of a lady who was physically abused by her husband ("To stop the pain from the beatings"), and so she covered herself in tar, lit a match and said, "God, if you're real, then save me." She dropped the match. Lit on fire, got severe burns...but she was taken to the hospital and after multiple surgeries, she survived. She is a Christian now and is saying, "You are the truth/I'm screaming these lies/You are the truth/Saving my life." Such an amazing story

Sad but cool story, glad she lived and changed her life. Listening to the song it makes since that that was the story behind it. And if I ever had a question about one of their songs I would definitely ask you . I'm going to guess their your favorite band.
