I thinkle I have heard it before but I looked it up again. It's pretty good, they even changed some of the lyrics. Is that what you mean by that it was narrated by cassies sister?

Well, it says "and my sister Cassie pulled the trigger." So I assume it was written by her sister. They didn't add lyrics, they just cut out lyrics on the album version so it's shorter.

Hmmm, I'm not positive what they mean by that. But usually broken wings symbolise lost freedom or fallen angels (which could be like lost innocence, maybe). And the lyrics are, "a thousand broken hearts carried by a thousand broken wings". Meaning everyone with a broken heart has broken wings as well. And since the song seems to be about losing a loved one I guess that the broken wings are just a symbol for being shattered. Without a desire to fly again and losing that feeling of being whole or complete.
