Occasionally I would play identical melodies (improvisationally) on my flute for my wife. She would fall asleep gently. Think I need to start it up again. She usually just reads a book now.

And my second thought. This pix from the Comanche hymn.

Reminds me of a Natural Amphitheater in Fern Cliff State Park in So. Illinois.

Would like to go there again, and this time play my flute in this natural outdoor theater. Have DS join me on his guitar. I imagine the sound would travel quite a distance. I enjoy experimenting with natural acoustics.

Marla was singing that hymm at Palo Duro Canyon.
It's a very old hymn. My grandmother use to sing that hymm alot. Marla has a pretty shrill voice, when she tones it down a bit, she sounds much better.

Just go to this one Sean posted, and It will do it much better than anything I could record.

Maybe wife only pretended to be sleeping,,,,
so I would stop playing.
