I joined a Seeds Of The Month club a while back and get 4 seed packets a month for $24/year. I got the celery seeds in my packet a few months back. I don't recall seeing them too terribly often in stores, either, come to think of it. Check out averagepersongardening.com or something like that... do a Google search for "Mike The Gardener".

Thanks! I will have to check that out.
Sounds like everyone is going to have a good garden.
kuntrygirl: My garden was that small last year.

Really? Well good. I don't feel so bad now.

It's really just me, so I'm wanting to plant all those goodies that I eat often, so that I don't have to purchase anything in the grocery store. Just trying to save a few pennies. Every penny helps.

Yep

I had tomatoes, bell peppers, potatoes, lettuce, watermelons, and beans. The watermelons died not to long after being planted but everything else did good. It is just me and my mom so we are doing the same thing and planting what we eat the most of and a few extras we put on the list that we may try. We have to plant more because our taste are so different.

Oh, it's okay. Puppy has probably been chewing on all the thornless blackberries. I can live with that, though. He'll be past that age the next year. He's worth it...

I staked up my Alaska peas, and planted potatos, this weekend...I have garlic, onions, collards, mustard and beets, in the ground. Being in North Fl. the total growing season is yearround..You still have to hit the seasonal windows, properly, or you are throwing your seed away...Come March, it'll be winter squash, and corn.

I am growing mostly cherry tomatoes, tomatilloes, and ground cherries. I do grow corns, mustards, buckwheat, and a bunch of herbs too. I give the chickens the corn, and the rabbit the mustard greens.

I want to live in a year round growing place.Dh was in Florida this weekend(Tampa area)and was enjoying the 70 degree temps while I sit at home in 20 degree temps wondering how I will manage to shovel the drive while I have a fever!!!!!

My melons always rot.I get dinky peppers.Only the pumpkins I DONT plant ever grow well!
