What are you READING?

Clockwork- Phillip Pullman
Remembereance of Things Past- Marcel Proust
The Satanic Verses- Salman Rushdie
The Catcher in the Rye- J.D. Slainger

I usually read a few books at a time (and as you may have noticed I have rather eclectic taste). So I've got a big book for home, one to slip in my purse and take with me, one conveniently sized for reading in the bath, and one small enough to take with me when I travel, but large enough to last on long trips.

Im still working on the same book but I haven't been able to touch it in days! I finished the first half but haven't started on the 2nd half of it BLAH!
Only thing I been reading now a day is paperwork after paperwork after paperwork

I've been reading and re-reading A Gathering Storm by Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson. Its book 12 in the Wheel of Time Series. I've been reading them for ohh, 7 years now. Its a great series.

If you liked 1984, read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, it's just as chilling.

I have, it is horrible, but at least it had an optimistic ending, I apperciated that.

I really liked The Host, it is a little adolecent, and takes a lot of inspiration from other sci-fi series like Stargate, etc.. but I did really like it. We did it for our bookclub and even the girls who didn't like sci-fi loved the book.

Barbara Kingsolver, "Miracle, ..." on her family's year long effort to eat only locally produced food. I love Kingsolver's work, and this is not the first read I've had of this fascinating, entertaining, and impressive story. Highly recommended for some thought-producing reading. ~G
