I'm going through Jean M. Auel's 'Earths Children' series...for the 3rd or 4th time now. I remember reading 'The Clan of the Cave Bear' way back when it first came out, and it's *still* just as good reading as it was then. Just as interesting as the book, is reading about all the investigation and learning she did to be able to write the books.
I also am usually reading two or three books. A lot of books I read are of very heavy subject matter and sometimes I don't feel like reading them before going to sleep.
Right now I am part way through The Federalist Papers-reading the real english that we used to speak is taxing sometimes. We spoke so elegantly and intelligently!
Part way through WWII day by day-very, interesting. I have learned a lot that I didn't know, little things mostly but they all add up.
Every fall I start wanting to re-read Stephen King's Dark Tower series(I keep thinking about stuffy guys) So for the first time I am reading it all the way through(Since I have all the books now) I am almost finished with book three, four more to go!
When I finish a book, I was going to start The Lone Survivor by Marcus Lutrell, but DGD reminded me that I have been telling her that I would start the Harry Potter series two years ago and haven't. So I guess I'll do that next.

I love James Patterson also, haven't read anything by him for a while though.
First, I am trying to be much more devoted to reading my Bible daily.
And currently I am knee deep in a christain romance - I know! But it is a good story! It is here by my laptop and I steal a page or two while I cook and wait for my hubby to come home.
I'm reading Drug Delivery and Targeting for pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists by Anya Hillery, Andrew lloyd and James Swarbrick. Sure beats the Fundamentals of Biochemstiry book...
On going Gun, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond. Great book about why certain societies succeeded and others didnt.
But, currently, Im distracted by my favorite animal behaviorist, Patricia McConnell with For the Love of a Dog: Understanding Emotion in You and Your Best Friend. Also by McConnell is On the Other End of the Leash. Both are excellent books to learn about how to understand your dog and yourself. I love her work, though it may have something to with the fact that she often writes about her Pyr and Border Collies. Two of my favorite breeds
