I am thankful to be alive to read this - still things to get done. I am thankful for the presence of Jesus in our lives, my wife Monique, our 5 kids, 2 grandkids, down pillows, internal combustion engines, the sun, moon and stars, toilet paper, McDonald's apple pies and avocados. I am thankful for the choice of boxers or briefs, the electoral college (kidding), red maple leaves, Blue Bell ice cream, Constitutional checks and balances, the internet, books, a bonfire in winter, having not licked an ice tray lately. I really am thankful for this time of night when I tell myself it is time for a nap and that nap lasts at least 8 hours.
