Waiting for 25 st. run Ameraucaunas from a breeder, and 15 more BBS bantam silkies from cackle. I ordered 25 of the silkies originally and more than half died the first 48 hours because due to a shipping error, they were in transit the other day. After some digging and talking to the manager, they agreed to send me 15 more to replace the ones that passed for free! I was very impressed and pleased that they did that. The first 25 took 3 days in transit and I'm picking up the 25 Ameraucaunas from the breeder because he is closeby. The other 15 BBS silkies are supposed to be here in April.

Hi There! I ordered my new flock from you Back Yard Chicken we are getting 4 Silkies 2 black and 2 white 2 black Frizzle Cochins and 2 Easter Eggers all Bantums! I have to wait unit mid July but I don't think I can wait that long!!!!!! I am so EXCITED I can not stop reading and watching videos online. I can't even go to the feed store to get a fix because the coop is not built yet. Oh well I will live through everyone else for awhile...

We got 10 Rhode Island Red pullets yesterday and have 10 White Leghorn pullets coming next monday. we ordered ours thru the local farmers co-op. They order ing bigger batches and you get better prices.

I believe this was shipping. I mean two were dead upon arrival, one died shortly after, the other had a prolapse, and the these other two the other thing I could outwardly see wrong was the pasty bum. I begin to notice they get lethargic, and start to refuse to eat or drink. Im not sure if its the stress, or what. I went through them all again to check their bums 6 needed cleaned, and I petroleum jellied their bums to help the poop to not stick the next time. I also kinda think maybe the polish two had a harder time cause they are so petite. When you look at their frames and build compared to my barred rock or even the cochin, they feel so dainty holding them compared.

I only ordered 5 i hope there are 0 losses cause i dont wanna loose any of them... cost me $64 for those 5 chicks..

$64 for chicks.. when i say that outloud it just sounds like the funnies thing ive ever heard of.

i got mine from chickensforbackyards.com lol mine arrive tomorrow ive been waiting a month.. ive already orded storeys guide to raising chickens.. which has a TON of information in it.. and ive been reading every day watching all sorts of videos doing lots of research asking lots of questions on here.. i feel im MORE than well prepared for my darlings to arrive.. (my first batch too)

I better get those new coops ready!!
