Got 2 orders: 37 from mm all alive in less than 24 hrs( I have them shipped to a main dist center and picks them up). 3 free ..2 with wry neck and they r ok now.

43 from mpc ..took 28 hrs ..1 doa, 1 died at 6 days 1 with wry neck and still recovering. Overall very happy with both hatcheries

I ordered 4 back in Dec from Mypetchicken.com they should be here mid May. It was the earliest date they had 4 of my top choice breeds available at the same time. I ordered a silver laced Polish, Blue Orphington, Blue laced red Wyandotte, and a white Silkie.

I ordered my chicks today!!!! I got 4 pullets. First timer. They are coming MAY 15 so exited. They are Black Australorps. Heard great things about that breed. I already bought the water and food feeder with a brooder box. Any tips about taking care of a chicken would be great!!!

On the topic of naming these cute little bundles of fluff . . . they say don't name your food. But I never yet have named any of the eggs provided by my hens (Sugar, Buttercup, Sassy, Prudence and Happy Feet)!

I ordered my girls from McMurray. You can schedule delivery with them, so my started pullets are coming in the middle of May. It'll give us time to get things ready for them. I've missed having chickens in the backyard! I ordered two barred rocks and one RIR. Yay!

I ordered my first chicks from My Pet Chicken back in November. They are due to ship April 7th. I am out of my mind with anticipation! Original order: 1 white silkie, 1 buff brahma bantam, 1 Easter egger bantam and 2 barred Plymouth Rock bantams. Today I called and added 3 mottled Cochin bantams. My Pet Chickens customer service has been outstanding. I bought a bunch of supplies from them as well. I'm driving everyone crazy with my non-stop chicken talk!

Lol, you and me both!! I placed my order from MPC back in November too. 2 EE, 1 Buff Brahma, 1 Buff Silkie, and 1 Barred Rock. I have all my brooder supplies and am counting down the days to April 7! These are my first chickens. I am glued to these forums rooting for everyone else for a safe delivery!

50 cornish cross from Welp. I raised and processed somewhere around 100 Cornish Cross chickens from Welp last year and I had amazing results. My mortality rate was next to nothing. I only lost a couple. One was due to fight with a turkey and another was because I left the tractor door open and they all escaped. I was never able to find the missing one. I was actually surprised how easy they were to raise and process. I'm going to stick with 50 this year because I am branching out.

15 pekin ducks from Ideal. Did three Pekins last year and kept them for eggs. I got rid of them at the end of the summer because I didn't want to build a new winter pen for them. They also weren't getting along with my turkeys. This year, I am raising them all for meat.

3 toulouse geese from Ideal. Planning to have one for Christmas, one for Easter, and the third will be a gift.

5 broad breasted white turkeys from Ideal. I had a 100% mortality rate with my turkeys last year, so this is attempt #2.

10 buff orpingtons to replenish my layer flock. I plan to add ten new ones every year with the hope that I will constantly have a fresh supply of eggs for myself and my family.

This website resulted in me morphing from a guy with six chickens from TSC to a full blown homesteader who raises 100% of his own meat in only a years time. I even started a herd of goats that I plan to raise for milk and meat. Its crazy!
