WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? WHAT DID YOU JUST RECEIVE?

my 6 ducklings are still doing great this morning and the little runner even laid down in my hand and got comfy...almost had her completely relaxed and eyes closed twice and she was having a good time nibbling my thumb. ducklings are soo cute..they deffinantly get chicks a run for their money in the cute department

Did it happen to go through the Hazelwood MO sorting facility ? I live in IL and it seems that anything fragile and remotely alive gets killed by that place..they lost chicks of mine...broke countless shipment of eggs...I live 500 miles from there and the PO i got to is in a town of 700 when i have had to make claims my local had asked me if it went through there..I think they employ monkeys..I got two shipment of eggs yeaterday both from the west..one nothing was broken..the second traveled through Hazelwood, I had thought i just lost..4 maybe 6 .. 2 were cracked but maybe fixable...candled when I put them in the incubator 6 more are cracked so out of 16 eggs i have 6 good ones....the only things I ever get damaged got thru there..
I wouldn't think. It was Cleveland, Ohio, one day, then Phoenix, Arizona, the next. Except that my house is in North Dakota. So if only they sent it to Minneapolis.

of course that is why the USPS is growing broke..they have set routes for everything some are really stupid...I had a package last week go to Chicago then bounce around MO then back to me...like why Cleveland to AZ makes no sense to come back east..and half the time they don't scan them in transit.. i just shipped eggs from IL to CA only was scanned when it left and in CA nowhere inbetween I know it stopped several times Inbetween...but there is nothing we can do USPS is the only one who ships live chicks etc...The problem with reshipment is that sometimes the hatchery is out of what you want for several weeks..

I'm on the countdown to getting my 4 little chick Black Australorps. I'll be picking them up from the local feed store as soon as they call me..they're expected on April 8th....woo-HOO!! I'm so excited I can't hardly stand it!

My chicken coop kit is due to arrive this Monday, but the weather being what it is I won't be able to start building it for a week or so, but that's okay since my chicks won't be able to be in the coop for some time.

CAN'T WAIT!!

congratulations!

What a day! We ran out to get a few more things for our chicks and ended up with 4 chicks!! Lol they had silver laced wyandottes that I've been looking for so we got 2 of those, 1 BPR and 1 RIR because my son HAD to have a brown chick. Lol, I don't know who is worse of the two of us! Maybe he is just my enabler! So I will be calling to cancel some on my order.

I'd like to introduce cinnamon (name subject to change because of a fickle 5 year old).

How adorable that little Cinnamon is! I know what you mean about going to the feed store just to pick up a "few things"....aaack!! I've been avoiding dropping by ours for fear I'll end up with more chicks, too!

He just came home from work for a second and I spilled the beans! Lol. His response was "you are going to end up with 40 here pretty soon!!" and "I better get back to work so we have the money to build the coop and feed them"!! Haha!

I wish I had words of wisdom for you and your four week olds!! I have no idea what we are going to do when ours get to that point (especially If I keep adding more on!). Could they be outside in the smaller coop during the day and then back in at night? I don't know how warm it is in Arizona right now. Here it is still cool during the days and cold at night.

That's actually what I'm doing tight now... on the nice days they are in a prefabricated coop outside... to let them fly lol but I leave the door open so they can explore... they stick close to the coop ;) its been in the 30s at night... the last week its been cold and windy... today during the day its sunny a few breezes and id say 67:p

I'm with you staying out of them now! I'll just send hubby in!

Are they still in the big Rubbermaid type container when they are inside or did you have to upgrade to something bigger?
