Quote: I had to laugh when I read your post...I, TOO, am a mad woman researching day and night it seems. My little chicks are due in April 8th and the excitement is killing me! I've got my brooder box all set up and I keep looking at it, moving things around inside it, should I do this? Should I do that? Drives ya nuts, doesn't it???

The tracking number updated during the night! The chicks have left Portland, OR and are now on their way to our post office. We should get them Monday!

So I haven't even gotten my chickens yet and already added/changed my order

. I so like the Brahmalot thread that I changed out my BO cockerel with a DB cockerel and added a partridge rock pullet. All to arrive week of 5/5

. Have my chick starter, light, hanging waterer, food dispenser, meal worm treats, nutri drench, and am going to set it up on my enclosed porch in a x-large wire dog crate with a cardboard rim. I would love to put it in my dinning room but fear my 3 cats would injure/scare them.

I had so wanted to start my coop (keeps getting bigger) April 1, but have to much snow still for that. It's a good thing I have a horse stall I can move them to if necessary until there coop is built

2 BA (1 cockerel, 1 pullet)
1 SS pullet
1 Delaware pullet
4 wyandottes (1 GL pullet, 1 GL cockerel, 1 SL pullet, 1 Columbian pullet)

Waiting is so hard!! ;)
I added 2 copper Marian pullets to my order Friday and then decided this morning that I'd like to switch our EE cockerel to a cooper maran! I swear that will be my last order change! Lol. And I am staying far far away from farm stores for a while!!

Don't tell my hubby that the reason I'm changing cockerels is for the chance of olive eggers someday!!
