WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? WHAT DID YOU JUST RECEIVE?

Yes it is breaking my heart every time I take another dead baby out of the box. 4 dead so far with this batch. Never again. I will never again order bantams.

I am not an old hand or vastly experienced, but I do a LOT of research and study and a LOT of folks have recommended and swear by "poultry nutridrench" by Bovidr Labs. It is NOT like a normal item that the bird has to digest... it is given orally and immediately is absorbed into the bloodstream. It is ideal for birds experiencing undue stress or having difficulties.

You can buy it on Amazon and I believe Tractor Supply carries it as well if there's a store near you. I don't think you want to wait several days for it to arrive at this point... But here's a link:

I hope you fare better with the rest of the chicks.

It's awful I'm sorry you are having bad luck with the bantams.
I've read so many threads and looked at pics of bantams that seem to have adjusted very well.
It makes me curious if this is a bantam situation or a hatchery problem but I don't know if you ordered
from a hatchery?. Being new to chickens I get concerned every time I read about multiple chicks not making it.
It is a sad thing to have your chicks die before they even have a chance of survival.
I looked into the poultry nutridrench Latestarter suggested and will be ordering it in a few minutes to have on
hand in my emergency kit.

I hope the rest of your chicks perk up and do very well.

I'm also new to this, and have seen multiple threads about hatchery chickens being doa or shortly thereafter.
That's what caused me to order from a local breeder. I'm all about supporting local businesses anyhow.
You know someone posted tonight how 45 of 49 chicks they received from a hatchery met that same ill fate.
So far, I've been very pleased with the level of service I've received from our local breeder. I can also visit his joint and see how he treats the birds first hand.

Out of 28 bantams I had shipped on April 30, I am down to 19. I gave them nutri-drench as soon as they arrived. Lost 4 in 24 hours, the next two within the next 12 hours.

They say bantams have a harder time being shipped.

i've had bantams shipped to me twice and never had problems with them...they were always healthy and active. and i'm so sorry you've been losing yours..that is so very sad.

today Ideal shipped the 15 white leghorns pullets and 2 female cayuga ducklings i order back in april so if thing go as they have the previous times I've ordered from Ideal the chicks and ducks should be here in the morning

the leghorns are for a friend but the two cayugas are mine.....cant wait to see them!

I wish I could stop compulsively checking my tracking number every 15 minutes when I know it probably won't update til they arrive in Louisville.....
My stomach is in knots with worry and excitement.
