Better start having fun and getting creative. I have two adults...originally named Gracie and Esther (after Gracie Allen and Esther Williams) But Esther became a boy...so he became Ese...which is Spanish slang for Brother as in Bro! Hey we're in New Mexico...he's a Vato Loco! He's a buff bantam cochin and Gracie is red...he looks like a Mayan God...he is gorgeous gold...they spawned 9 chicks that I can only now tell a few of them apart....there is "Little all Aloney" who is alwys the last to follow...she is always trying to catch up....then "Little Mr Stripey." He is going to be gorgeous...fully feathered legs and feet and he is striped vertically in red and buff! I'm still trying to figure out how to keep him... but Ese is the only man on campus in his mind at least

Last year's got "A" names - Augusta (buff orp), Alexandria (br), Acadia (white cochin).

We lost three of the originals - to different causes -
Anastasia, Ariel, and at a very tender age, Annabelle

This year (arriving NEXT WEEK!) get "B" names:

partridge rock - Bernadette
golden laced wynadotte - Beatrice
australorp - Bertha
red cochin - Betty
hamburg - Bianca

Guess what letter next year's additions will start with!

I have

Self-blue cochin pullet- Lola

NHR pullet- Goldie Hawn

White cochin roo- Coconut

Fawn duckwing OEGB roo- Chanticleer

Black mystery chicken pullet- Jerk Chicken (we finally decided her name would be Jerk Chicken last night when my son was playing some Jamacian steel-drum music, and she was actually dancing!! She's got to be a rastafarian chicken!!)

Silver sebright pullet- Abigail

and finally a "not sure yet" roo named Robinhood

1 - 10 week old Buff Orpington, (probably a roo but no crow yet), named Buffy. Couldn't get used to calling him anything else, so he is still Buffy, but it is now short for Sir Buffington.

1 - 10 week old Silver Laced Wyandotte, (also probably a roo but no crow yet) named Lacy. He's just gonna have to deal with his feminine name.

, but I'll do it again.
My light brahma roo is Zeus. My dark brahma roo is Thor.
My hens are: Athena, Gaia, Hecate, Hera, Pan, Juno, Luna, Venus, Durga, Kali, Krishna, Lilith (a favorite), Isis (another favorite), Ra, Brigid, and Dagda.
Pan, Krishna, Ra, and Dagda are boy's names, but the girls don't seem to mind.
