Nugget is my main coop head roo. His second in command is Elvis a Welsummer roo named because he lost all his comb points last winter to frostbite and now has a comb that looks like Elvis' hair do.
Then I have Marcel who heads up my Cuckoo Marans pen.
My bachelor roo pen is Churchill, Blackbeard & Napoleon the 3 Wheaten Ameracana roos and Cyclops, Ulysses, Jacko, Zeb & Jake, who are the 5 Blue Wheaten Ameracuna roos. Blackbeard is the head roo in the batchelor club. They do always roost 3 at one end of the roost bar and 5 at the other end. Birds of a feather do flock together.
Blackbeard is the only one that ever challenges me.
They are all bantams.

Named my Silver Sebright rooster Odysseus. He somehow found himself lost from home, landed on my grandparents' porch & after unsuccessfully locating his owners, he got his new name & came home with me. He's my first chicken so I didn't really know what to expect, but, man, is he a spitfire!

Our rooster moved up the road 10 miles to a farm of 80 hens who lost their roo a couple of weeks ago. Lol. I assume he's overwhelmingly happy. Ll.

We have Chester Chicken Dooley who is a large Rhode Island Red that we have had for many years. He is just the best - cannot imagine our coop without him.
