We try not to name roosters as they could be eaten at any time. But currently we have
Rembrandt (though he looks more like a Van Gogh just now) - Welsummer
Arthur - Speckled Sussex
Sir Robin (the not so brave as Sir Lancelot) - Black Ameraucana
Gimli - Grey Ameraucana
Blackbeard - Black Ameraucana
Merlin - baby Speckled Sussex
We have a couple of baby Buckeye boys hatched from JamesA eggs, thinking of naming the keeper Atkins. He will likely have some Sand Hill Preservation Buckeye ladies to keep him company this winter.
I have an EE named Long John Silver, (Silver,) two white leghorns, Midnight and Curly, and two RIRs, called Waldo and Lucky. Silver is definitely the prettiest roo in the pen, and our mascot. Midnight is, of course, pure white. Lucky is a survivor! All his 5 brothers went to freezer camp, hence, Lucky! Happy chicken!
my current roos are: Chickie a bantam polish, Sunny bantam cochin (his personality has always been a ray of sunshine for us!). my bantam fav boys: Zeus (aka Big Papa), Apollo, and Mosey after my grandfather.
a few of my current cockerels still looking for new homes: Blue Boy a self blue D'Uccle, Stormy, Puc (the little joker
!), and 3 others still not named.
former roos and cockerels: Fozzie the curled silkie and Bon Scott the bantam polish who are now part of Shay 20's flock, Gonzo, Larry, Moe & Curly, Curly Joe (No Shemp!), QT (who was not so cute as he got older), and Sky a beautiful blue salmon fav who i hope has a wonderful life with his new family!
