What attacks like this? Graphic pic

I lost a chicken to a hawk and the results looked exactly like yours. I came home to find the hawk in the process so, in my case, I know it was a hawk. I hope you don't have anymore attacks. It's SOO frustrating!!! Best of luck.

Get a goose to keep the hawks away. lol. I have 2 ganders that are left out 24/7 and I havent had a hawk attack since.

Hi! Sorry for your loss.. I'm in central? Ks. and I'm orginally from western (flats) Ks.

BELIEVE me coons are everywhere.

BUT since the act happened during the day, Right? I'ld say Hawk!

All my coon happenings were dusk to midnight!

I have to add that raccoons will and DO attack during the day. Had it happen to me a few years ago, around noon. It was a juvenile. I still say hawk though. Oh well. The poor thing's dead and we all know it wasn't a rabbit who did it! (just a little sick joke - sorry)

Looks like what an owl did to one of our silkies. The reason I know it was an owl was in the morning it was still in the pen and couldn't get out.

Coons (they're everywhere), hawks, possums (even in downtown Wichita), skunks, badgers, coyotes, dogs, cats, etc.

Is there anything we don't have in KS?
