I live in the burbs and my back yard is fenced with a 6 ft privacy fence so that rules out dogs, so what did this?!!!!

Looks like what the raccoons have been doing to my girls.

I have never seen racoons here in this part of Kansas. EVER. Athough I have seen oppossums in the country, at night. This attack was somewhere between 10am and 5pm.

That's so wierd that it only ate the head! if it was a wild animal, wouldn't it have eaten the whole thing, or dragged it off somewhere?
Could a dog have attacked it, and run off with its head? That would seem the most logical

No way that it was a dog. Can't make it through the fence.
If you look closely the breasts are gone and so is the back meat. And the intestines are pulled out but not eaten. So I think I am down to a cat or a hawk.

My guess is raccoon, too.

Ok, I live in the great plains of Kansas, there are no woods here. And this was in the daytime, not the nighttime. So I don't think it could be a raccoon, but mayber I am wrong.
