After looking closer, I'd say Gold sebright here is pic of one of my young ones with a silver laced polish. Hope it helps, click on the image to enlarge.
I've heard the golden are friendly, can be a bit flighty. I am not keeping mine, I just bought it to keep the polish company until I had my eggs hatch. Here is a little info, but I think hearing from others will be more helpful https://www.backyardchickens.com/breeds/sebright/10091
I wonder if I it's the sebright....I wonder if I got mine from the same place here in MI
Mine that looked like that, the board here thinks they are sebrights. I got 4 from the bantam pen from townline, so I understand your desire to know. I have a thread and you can see what mine looks like after a few weeks, they do look cute.
Had for almost 5 years none of mine ever sat egg's cept last year. One hen got Jiggy and got in a nest along with a couple of her eggs with a couple frizzle and cochin egg's.I was suprised. From what I have read they are not real broody bird's like polish my polish NEVER brooded egg's.But the SE's are awesome very pretty docile hand tamable birds if you work with them.
Thanks for the breed info. That's okay that they aren't generally broody. None of my LF have ever been broody either. I did pick up a silkie chick also ~ I'm really hoping that's pullet! I'd just love to have a broody! I did pick up some large fowl Barred Rocks, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Buff Orpingtons, and a Black Australorp. Maybe I'll get lucky with one of them ~ they are all pullets.
