Ive been thinking about getting some bantams in the near future but I can't decide and a breed. They don't have to be a phenomenal egg layer but I would like them to lay a decent number of eggs for their small size but this isn't a matter of life or death. I mainly want them for their looks and for their personality. SO what breed for you recommend that can easily bond to people, is loving and sweet, has good looks and any other bantam breeds that you have had that you love. Thanks for the help!

Belgium D'Anvers are adorable really sweet bantams that make awesome pets.
Sebrights are really pretty and sweet too.
Japanese and Old English are really pretty and come in tons of different colors, but aren't as friendly unless you work with them.
Dutch are pretty and also come in a lot of different colors, but can be harder to find.
Silkies are really friendly, but get beat up by other chickens and can need special care.

These are some of my favorite breeds, but it really depends on what you want Belgium D'anvers are best if you want a hardy but sweet chicken, Japanese, OEGB, Sebright and Dutch make really good lawn ornaments as well as lay fairly well, but aren't as friendly unless you work with them. Silkies are great if you want really friendly chickens, but they do need a little extra care.

Silkies great personality and decsent layers and will set on eggs for you. Best bantams you could get!

Some ameraucana bantams are very friendly and lay 3--4eggs a week per chicken.

Dominique bantams lay very well and look great but can be a little more timid than the above 2 breeds.
