What bedding should I use?

Hell yea....grass,leaves,scraps , pretty much anything.

New to chickens, really new..I actually get mine tomorrow.. Has anyone used the grass they mow from their lawn for bedding? I live in Texas and it dries up pretty fast in the summer.

I'm not sure that using that for new chicks is the best because they don't know what's their food yet so they might eat it. I would stick with the regular stuff until they are a little older

The chickens I am getting are full grown, so hopefully they will like it. Recycle! After they dirty it I will just compost it.
