Right?? Is it in Boerne?? We will be over that way next month!

Yes - look up the Dodging Duck on google - they have a restaurant too right by the creek - the food is on the good side of so-so - but the atmosphere, staff and beer are great

This summer they rescued a mama goose and had the goose and her goslings and had them in a little fenced off area with a kiddie pool - I think she had been hurt by a dog or a car so she was a big attraction for awhile. The creek is home to a whole bunch of different geese and ducks - kids love it

We ate at a restaurant in Boerne that was like an old English Inn/Pub .. with dark wood and all .... drove all through Boerne .. so i know the creek you're thinking of and have seen ducks and geese... I just can't place the brewhaus ..

(will feel really dumb if that is where we ate .. but i don't think so)

I will set myself up for potential ridicule on this one, but I am living the HIGH LIFE, the LIGHT variety. Cant beat the price and you still feel okay the next day. Not the case with most cheap beers.

Ok sooo I gotta agree with half of this one... HIGH LIFE here just not the light

Me too! I'm getting ready to make and bottle up my first batch next week. Yummy!

My cousin's husband makes his own beer (a neat but smelly project). Poor man, one year he made us all a batch of root beer for Christmas gifts. It meant so much because we knew how much it KILLED him to use his beer making equipment for such a lowly purpose

And yes, it was amazingly delicious.

I feel a bit guilty for not liking beer here in the PNW - Oregon has a reputation for its million zillion microbrews. Most towns with more than 30,000 people have their own brewer supply shop.

Oh well, at least I love good coffee, another PNW specialty vice.
