What bird is best to eat bugs?

Once they get accustomed to where they live they settle in nicely. The only time they screech around my place is when something upsets them. They do have a loud and distinct sound and when one goes off they all go off. I like the sound. They make a great alarm system when something is going on in the barn too. My guineas free range and have never left my property.

My house is very old and it can be difficult to hear things outside. When upstairs and on the left side of the house you can't hear anything. Not even a car in the drive or someone knocking on the door.

But you can hear the guineas when they sound off. LOL

ducks are good for misquitoes/flies. guinneas are good for all bugs.

Guinneas only are noisy when they see something, think they see something or think they should see something.

Seems I'm always stopping traffic to help guide guineas out of the middle of streets and back to their homes. Sometimes they decide to have an argument in the middle of traffic. One lady I guided a bunch back to only laughed, saying she's had some hit by car. Warped sense of humor if you ask me, but I only mention my experiences because things might work out best with them if you're not on top of a busy road!

Guinneas are considered the best... but they are not quiet creatures. The second best would be a Muscovy duck. Third best would be all other breeds of ducks.

Geese generally only eat bugs by accident.

Thanks everyone. Guineas seem to be the way to go. I have 1 1/2 acres on a dirt road. Is this enough room?
Just curious how are phesants at eating bugs???

Guineas are great all around bug eaters but I can tell you from experience they aren't as good at catching flies as a Muscovy duck.
