What brand of organic feed do you use and like?

Lots of people in WI feed Frank's. There's a pet store in Madison that carries it, too, so it's handy for the chicken keepers in the city. You could always contact him and see if anyone closer to you is carrying his feed.

Mounds carries an organic feed, too, if there are any close to you. They have feed stores in the Madison area and Sun Prairie, I don't know if they have any others.

You could call all the feed stores in your area and just ask them what organic chicken feed they carry. You don't always get a lot of choices at any one store, like you do for dog food. If they say they don't carry any organic feed, ask if it would be possible to get some through them. Sometimes their distributors have other things available that are easy for them to get, if people are interested. They may do it as a special order for you or they may decide to carry something new. Mounds was always great about getting things in for their customers.

My husband called our local feed store today and they were able to order us organic feed. It's about $1/lb and no minimum order or shipping fees. I'm not sure of the brand yet. We pick it up on Friday. I would just try calling around to local feed stores and see if they can order it for you. It will probably end up much cheaper for you than ordering online.

I called our local pet food store where we get our horse grain and my dogs food and one of their local branches carries an organic poultry feed and would transfer it to the store closest to us....bonus!
And it seems pretty inexpensive too!!!

OMG! $1/pound! I am in CA, so I know it is a little different, but I pay the premium price of $0.60/pound for soy and corn free organic feed!

Not sure if Azure Standard is delivering to WI yet, but it would be worth checking into!
