I ordered the rainbow pack from Meyer’s hatchery. I have figured out a few, but can’t figure these out. They are about 3 weeks old now.

I have no idea about this one. 36ECF7F3-28DB-4983-9012-B07CF8622F79.jpeg 1F7492D8-7C34-42D7-9981-DE8D0C90A6DC.jpeg

I think this one might be an EE. She has little puffs on her cheeks. CCF09A81-7152-4530-9726-241C01E9B4C2.jpeg

This one has one black spot right in the middle of her back. Also do I need to worry this one is a he with the comb development? 6CF60689-9DBA-4194-896A-388C9E20DE44.jpeg

The puff on her head is throwing me off. C6746D3D-1B15-42C6-AC67-6DEDE6DF5B6F.jpeg

I’ve no idea but they are adorable.

  3. That puff head is the most differnt little cutie I have ever seen.. I agree with your EE, I have 5 that looked just like her, 4 wks ago.
Look through the hatcheries website, see what other types of birds they have.. They probably gave you one of each of the breeds they offer

I narrowed it down to a few based on what they had available to ship on the date ours were shipped. The only while one with any black was a Exchequer Leghorn, but most I've seen have a lot more black on them. I thought the one with the puff might be a light brown leghorn. The light brown one I just can not figure out.

  5. Once they are a little older, more color can still come thru. My brown leg horn, was light and red like your last photo, and now she is all red. She looks like my RI red.
The puff on top of head, maybe a bantam of some sort?

  7. When i have an idea of a breed, and the exact age, I do a Google search for that breeds age... And usually nail it right on the head, or rule it out.

The top one looks like a dorking pullet, but not enough toes.

The hatchery doesn't have the Silver Phoenix or the Silver Lakenvelder. They have Cream Legbars, but they put a band on its leg to identify it. But I will say looking at pictures it does look like one. I hope it is. :D
