What breed am I??? Ameraucana +X????

A very beautiful hen! Very unusual coloring/patterns. Easter Eggers are mixed birds, indeed, which get their beards from the ameraucana in the ancestry/bloodlines (just because they're not "pure ameraucanas" doesn't mean it's not in their blood).

There are some people that cannot help themselves but put down everyone's hatchery Easter Eggers. Just love your bird and ignore the snobs. They're like those Westminster dog people. Couldn't love a mutt if their lives depended on it.

LOL! That first photo, she looks like she's wearing a fake beard from a fancy dress shop. Too cute! I really love the puffly cheeked and bearded birds - you don't really find many of them here in the UK. I didn't think anyone here was putting down your bird btw, just setting you straight on what breed/type she most likely was.

She looks a lot like my EE hen, Bonnie Blue! Mine is just bluer! I really love the beards on these chickens, and Bonnie Blue's mate, Quagmire has a very nice black beard started------he's only about 8 mos., so I can't wait to see how full it will get. Have some EE pullets coming from Ideal in April!!!!!

she appears to have a single comb, which even for hatchery stock, would be unlikely for an EE alone. i suspect an EE cross. She looks a like heavy and low to the ground for an EE too.

She is a beautiful EE! Wow what a looker...

I love the patterns and differences in the easter eggers. Plus, you gotta LOVE the surprise eggs!

My Black Ameraucana is low to the ground like that. Not sure if that's standard, but maybe that part of her genetics is shining through...
