What breed would you say this guy is?

If his skin is white (check the soles of his feet), then he's an Orpington or an Australorp. If yellow, he's most likely a Jersey Giant.

The two orps can be hard to tell apart in hatchery birds. Orpingtons *should* be rounder and have looser feathers while Australorps *should* have a look that, to my eye, seems a little more -- athletic? -- is probably the best word I can use.

Can rule out jersey giant as we don't have that breed here in nz.

Hmm, I wonder how to tell the difference between Orpington and Australorp.. looks like white skin, from what I can see. I thought maybe eye color??

Orp's should be fluffier, though even then there is big difference between American and English bred Orpington.

Potentially improper type and feathering.

Depending on how close to the SOP your Orpington ladies are you might or might not be able to tell the difference. :)
