My background story about my chickens. My kids did chickens for 4-H, broilers, and they got butchered back in August. Well, the kids missed having chickens so we got a few off of a guy advertising on Craigslist. He didn't know what he had but did give me two that had been laying regularly and 4 pullets. The kids also picked out 4 bantams because they were cute. Here are some pictures of my chickens. Can anyone help me in identifying them? Thanks to everyone! I do know that I have 2 splash, 1 black, and a blue cochin bantam. It's the rest I'm not sure about.

1. cross between Austrlop/ Rhode Islanad Red
2.Red sex link
3.Rhode island Red
4.Red sex link

Thats my guess maybe some of the experts can confirm.
last picture cant realy see well. have any better pics?

Here is a better pic of #4. I am going to try and go out to the coop and get some better pics later. These were from last night when I was letting them range around the yard and as you know it is hard to get good pics cause they won't hold still.

My guess would be

1. Some sort of mix but very pretty

2. A red sex link ( I have 4 I call my RIR and they lay eggs like crazy)
3. A RIR
4. A red sex link

I don't know breeds very well but I love the color of the hen in the first pic. With those fluffy feathers she does look like she has orpington in her.

1st pic Partridge rock/orpington looks to have wt. shanks maybe from bleaching out due to egg laying though.

2&4 sex link pullets

3 RIRed or production red type, maybe a BA on back?

5 Wt. Silky & a Blue/splash?

Thanks to everyone for your input. Yes the first one looks like she might have some orpington in her. My kids love to hold her, she is soooo soft! I never thought of partridge rock. I guess I am just still new to this.

1st one looks very much like a partridge rock. I have 3 and they're wonderful birds. Good looking group though.
